Dylyngyr is a primarily a classic rock band, with a hard rocking style. Lead singer Billy Rak has kept audiences entertained with his prowling front man stage antics. From whipping the microphone in a Rodger Daltery type style... to hitting those high notes on one of many Zep tunes...Billy is a pro with front man duties. Long time class mate "Z" has been playing lead guitar since the bands invention, his hard edged precise rhythm, and blazing lead riffs are a huge reason the band has had life for decades. Bass player Joe Grunstien and Z have been jamming together for so long they actually have stage esp. Joe can play and has played several instruments, including the clarinet during the 1975 High school musical West Side Story. Joe has also done various side projects as Lead guitar with Dylyngyr rhythm guitarist Bill Stone, these bands were mostly blues influenced. Dylyngyr is a band comprised of some veteran musicians that have played together for years. The musicianship level is realized when you see them play live. Drummer Eric Taylor will be the engine that runs the band. Eric has a great style and is a student of many of rocks greatest drummers, Bonham, Moon and that ilk. The bands influences are many, ranging from Cream to Cracker. Lead guitarist Zs influences are evident when seen live, Jimmy Page shows up along with Hendrix and Jeff Beck, just to mention a few.The band as a whole is influenced by rocks greatest years. So get ready....Dylyngyr has busted out of its self-proclaimed prison to rock your world this summer!
