DYLYNGYR

Billy Rak
Lead Singer / Front Man
Billy Rak legendary frontman and lead singer for DYLYNGYR actually had his start with the D band as the drummer. After some others failed as lead singers for the band Billy took over. He learned his stage prowling style in the early years. He went on to form the band " Menage" that had some good club runs...he brought the D bands drummer Tim Tully with him. He also formed a band "Innocent Eyes" with lead guitar player Larry Lease, this band got some national exposure with original music. Billy had a couple other projects..."Tongue and groove" and "Wizard da Voz" before returning to the D band for a run in 2007. Now Billy is set to prowl again with The DYLYNGYR band this summer!

Z
Lead Guitar
Z began playing guitar as a teenager and is predominantly self taught. During this time he met and began jamming with Joe Grunstein which, after the addition of Billy Rak and Tim Tully; developed into the original Dyllyngyr Band. Along with the Dyllyngyr club schedule, Z taught guitar at a local music store where musical relationships with former Skafish and Dots members were formed. At the conclusion of Dyllyngyr, the others encouraged him to join their band as lead guitarist for the remainder of the Region area gigs while their current guitarist/manager headed west to the LA club scene to arrange booking and recording the band.
At the completion of the remaining Region dates, the band requested Z stay on as a lead/second guitar which resulted in several years of success gigging the LA / South Bay area including 2 video appearances and shows at the fabled Whiskey a Go Go. Upon returning to the Region area Z took a break from gigs and projects only participating in recording and live show engagements with one of the members of the LA club scene band and another former Skafish member throughout the 90's.
At the request of classmates Z reunited with Joe and Billy to play a reunion which went well enough to reignite the desire to play out in the Region area. Shortly afterward, Bill Stone joined the group and for the next several years the band continued to play in and around the Region. Spectacular but shorted lived side projects included guitarist of the Who tribute band 5:15 and AC/DC tribute band Rosie.

William Stone
Guitar
Bill started his local music career with The Nighcrawlers back in the late 80s early 90s, A blues rock influenced band that he fronted as lead singer. band mates at the time included Dave Trump (The Relics) and Joe Grunstein (current bass player for DYLYNGYR). His next endeavor came in the early 2000s with The Alleykats that was strictly bar rockin blues. He again was lead singer except this time picking up rhythm guitar duties along side lead guitarist Tony Ciecerski and Bass player Darren Detroit Jackson, and on drums Mike Ratley who passed away in 2012. Bill was next asked to serve as rhythm guitar for the second coming of DYLYNGYR in 2007, the band comprised of Bill Rak lead singer , Zon Haralovich lead guitar, Joe Grunstein Bass, and Maria Garcia , George Buck , Randy Peterson and Jason Buckley sharing drumming duties. Of course with all bands things changed and Joe Grunstien had to leave for a while because of work scheduling, The band continued under the name The Art Of War, and continued playing into 2009. At that time Bill formed the band The Rayz band that was an uptempo cover band , its players were Bob Teskie Bass (The Relics) , Joe Grunstein lead guitar , Rich Downing on drums. Bill again fronted and played rhythm guitar, and now had picked up the harp and infused it in the bands tunes. Bill then played with a alternative band called The Franklins for a short run with lead singer Brett Myers (The Highbridge band) , and Bass player John Moravec (Dreamz). But now The DYLYNGYR band is ready to break out! Bill will add some bad ass harp playing on some Zep tunes you dont wanna miss!

JOE Grunstein
Bass
Multi-instrumentalist Joe Grunstein is entering his fifth decade of musical exploration and experimentation. Beginning piano at age 5, guitar at age eight, and bass by default for jazz ensemble in high school [default as there was no one else] Joe has entertained folks far and wide for 35 years and counting. Zon & Joe played in various high school groups together (including one with none other than Bill Rak on drums) hooked back up in Bloomington a year later, returned to the region and founded the Dyllyngyr still energizing crowds today. “ To think we all still get to do this after all this time… WOW!"

Eric Taylor
Drums
Eric is a self taught drummer that started playing at age fifteen. By nineteen he was playing at local bars and clubs. Since then Eric has played and filled in for various local bands around Northwest Indiana.
Eric met the Dylynger crew in 2009 when Zon answered an ad Eric's band placed for a guitar player. Soon after, 5:15, the high energy Who tribute, was formed with Zon, Billy, Joe and Eric. Around that time he also met Bill Stone and began playing with him as well.
After a four year hiatus from the guys Eric is very excited to be back and is ready to rock.
